Fun things to translate

Here is something to translate that might be of interest. It is an old song, sung when performing a specific type of work. But which? And what is it about? No cheating using translator apps! :-D

This is so useful, thanks! Will look at more Topelius

Trolldom dictionary maybe?

So I'm slowly about to start going through my notes as well as all the class videos, and I was thinking that it might be a good idea to put together a dictionary of sorts, with translations of Trolldom specific terminology. I did quite a bit of transcription during live class anyway, so it's more or less a habit at this point. This project might take quite some time to finish (and tbh, also to get started on) because I'm currently having way too many things going on, but if anyone's interested I'll set up a Google doc for it. If anyone has suggestions for other options, or how to best set it up - alphabetically, divided by topic, et c, let me know!

I am also learning on Duolingo- I cannot remember the name of the person who mentioned they were learning too {sorry!} but I am nowhere near fluent. However I would love to set up a regular Swedish convo time for anyone interested! It could be fun to have a native Swedish speaker as well- I have questions at times {like why are questions spoken in the order they are, etc} so it could be helpful to have someone fluent around too 😃
