The purpose of this course is to give the practitioner a clear view of how myths operate in our everyday life, provide a release from the modern myths obscuring Nature and old world views and perception as well as show the central theme present in Norse myths and many spiritual systems and from which a lot of ritual practices derrive.

What is Myth and what is the purpose of it? How can myth be used?
In modern days, most of what we get to hear about old Norse and Scandinavian myths are products of modern times. It is presented through the lens of modern ideas - such as that of the supernatural. In this course you will learn to see the modern myths overshadowing us and preventing old style spiritual practices, get an overview of textual foundations of old Norse myth along with the history of their origins. From there the course will focus on the central myth presented in both in the written materials of Old Norse texts as well as in oral culture, folk songs and alike. You will learn the difference between God and a god, learn about dualities and triplicities (geneaology of deities), be able to apply old myths and sagas in practical work and be able to see how modern myths operate in our everyday life. .
Most often, what we hear about them today does not come from a person with long training and practical experience, but products of modern scholars, whos agendas are very far from that of Trolldom. This course has a different origin, a practical lense and a very different goal.
