In Scandinavia the old term for this art is Skaldekonst - The Art of Poetry. It´s use and poetry is called "Galder", and in the more recent 400 years it has been called "Trollformler". This is a 12 week online course with a live (and recorded) lesson from Sweden each week. Read more below...

Using Trollformulas, Galders and words of power is an important part of the old Scandinavian Trolldom tradition. It is the foundational magic of the oral tradition and most ancient poetry.
Modern persons who tried to use them from a book or learned from a text, often notices that it does not work very well. Not seldom this is accompanied by a confusion about words and sounds, since we use them every day to communicate. The general idea that the power should somehow be in the words them or that faith alone is the sole reason why they should work.
In this course you will learn how they work, how to construct Maktord and formulas using the old Scandinavian old verse meters, how to make the words come alive and how to use them for purposes of healing, protection, blessing and much more.
A deep dive into the art of Skalds, learning how to use sounds, voice, tones, various elemental voices, words, sentences, poems and construct teaching tales and stories are in speech and song for healing, folk magic and esoteric spiritual work. How to find the power sounds of the natural word, empower songs to be used for spirit travel and create your own for spellcasting, healing and changing states of awareness.
In this mini course you will learn and understand the difference between Målrunor (ordinary letters, words and speech) and that of Trollrunor (magic and spiritual speech). As a bonus you will learn, understand and be able to efficiently use the ancient sounds made famous by the Eastern spiritual cousins of various mantra traditions.

Introduction and history of Galders, Trollformulas and Maktord (words of power).

Core of sound (breath, natural sounds, speech. vovels & consonants, stressed and unstressed dynamic rythm.

Poetry. History of the Skaldic art in Scandinavia. Syllable combinations, words and sentenses.

The old verse meters of Malahattr, Fornyrdislag, Ljodhattr, Galdralag and Runometer.

Maktord - From "Barbaric words" to "Wittenbergska ord". How to find, use wake them up.

The old Maktord – (”ALU”, ”LIN”, ”LAUKAR”; ”LADU”, "Tistill, Mistill..." etc) and how to wake them.

The construction of classic Swedish Trollformulas and how to wake them up. .

The various outer and inner voices and how to speak.

Bön (Prayers) & Hymns. History and traditional ways to construct.

Teaching stories - Parables, Folktales, Myth and Songs. How to construct them for teaching purposes.

Tools for support and places for practice. The Herbs, Stones, use of a Staff and alike used to support and help the practice.

Summary and introduction to the continued practice group.
